“The Diary of Senior Demirel”, available at demirel.co.il (the “Website”), is operated by the Nash Didan Community, owner of nashdidan.co.il. This policy explains what personal information is collected when the Website is used, why it is used, with whom it may be shared, and the rights available to users.
1. Information we may collect
- Information you provide: your name, email address, and the content of your message if you contact us through a contact form or by email.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, visit time, pages viewed, referring URL, and security or error data.
- Cookies: information required for the Website to operate securely and properly and, depending on the tools enabled on the Website, statistical information about its use.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information that is not necessary for your request.
2. Whether providing information is mandatory
Providing information through a form or by email is voluntary and is not a legal requirement. However, without minimum contact details and a meaningful message, we may be unable to process or answer your request. Certain technical information is collected automatically by the server and security systems because it is required to operate and protect the Website.
3. Purposes of processing
- Operating the Website, displaying content, and improving usability;
- Responding to enquiries and requests;
- Information security, prevention of misuse, troubleshooting, and maintenance;
- Statistical analysis and content improvement, where an analytics tool is enabled;
- Compliance with legal obligations and the establishment or defence of legal rights.
Personal information will not be used for a purpose incompatible with the purpose for which it was provided unless consent has been obtained or the law permits such use.
4. Sharing with third parties
Information may be shared, only to the extent necessary, with:
- Hosting, maintenance, security, backup, email, and form service providers that support the Website;
- Google and other analytics, security, or embedded-content providers enabled on the Website;
- A competent authority or another party where disclosure is required by law, court order, or to protect legal rights.
The Website does not sell personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies and analytics
The Website uses essential cookies for functionality, security, language preferences, and the proper operation of WordPress. It also uses Google Analytics and additional Google services for usage measurement, performance analysis, security, and Website improvement. These services may collect an IP address, cookie and device identifiers, browser and operating-system type, language, approximate location, referral source, pages viewed, visit duration, and events or actions performed on the Website.
Information may be transferred to Google and stored or processed on servers outside Israel. Google’s use of information is subject to its Privacy Policy and its information about cookies and similar technologies.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings and may also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking essential cookies may impair some Website functions. Where applicable law requires prior consent for non-essential cookies, they will be activated according to the user’s choice through the Website’s consent mechanism.
6. Third-party links and embedded content
The Website may include links to or content embedded from external services, such as Facebook, YouTube, or map services. An external service may collect information, place cookies, and record activity in accordance with its own privacy policy. Use of an external website is governed by that website’s terms.
7. International transfers
Some service providers may process or store information outside Israel. Where this occurs, the transfer will be handled in accordance with applicable law and with appropriate safeguards, as relevant.
8. Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including security, handling enquiries, and legal compliance. When it is no longer required, it will be deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible and subject to the systems in which it is stored.
9. Information security
Reasonable and generally accepted measures are used to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, use, alteration, or disclosure. No online system can, however, provide absolute security.
10. Your rights
Subject to the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981, you may request access to personal information held about you and ask for it to be corrected or deleted where it is inaccurate, incomplete, unclear, or out of date. You may also exercise any other right that applies to you. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity before handling a request.
11. Children’s privacy
The Website is not intended to collect personal information from children deliberately. If you believe that a child has submitted personal information without appropriate permission, please contact us so that deletion can be considered.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time because of changes to the Website, its services, or the law. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate manner.
