Summary

A mountainous region between southeastern Anatolia and northern Mesopotamia, described in the chapter as one of the principal Assyrian homelands before the communities were displaced in 1915. Segment 04.01 says that the authorities redirected to it development plans initially considered for Başkale. Segment 04.06 names Hakkari as the place of exile imposed on Shmuel Kutler at his trial.
