Summary

A young Turkish army lieutenant who temporarily acted as regimental commander in Başkale. According to segment 04.05, he promised to marry the hakham’s granddaughter but abandoned her, and later married the kaymakam’s sister-in-law. The account attributes cruelty and the fatal beating of soldiers to him, and describes his confrontation with Sinior and the disturbance at the soldiers’ discharge.
