Summary
A Turkish officer and friend of Sinior who commanded the Fifth Battalion of the Border Guard in Başkale. Before Sinior left for military service, Nuri asked him to write with the name, rank and place of origin of his commanding officer so that he could use his connections to look after him. In segment 05.02 he is identified as commander of the Fifth Border Regiment, and his cousin Rahmi Bey serves as officer of the guard at the military hospital in Siirt; his letter helps protect Sinior and his companions.
